If you want in on the Samurai Duelers Legue, check out for the details and stuff.
The Young Locust
Gender: male Hight: 6'5" weight: 230 lbs. Age: 19 ethnicity: Caucasian/hispanic mix Likes: Food, not working in any way, being a lazy-ass, TV, video games Dislikes: Work, not getting to sleep in, getting his ass handed to him (especialy by girls), the discovery that this era has no TV or video games
Fighting ability
Strengths: uh . . . he has a hat?
Weaknesses: *Incredibly low pain tolerance *Enormous hight makes his movements highly cumbersome *Has no idea how to use his own damn weapon (which he is thoroughly convinced that it is nothing more than a crappy family hierloom) *Next-to-none experience in fighting despite of all his time spent at the shoulin temple *Can't anime-style "God mode" out of dire situations
*(To check out his relative fighting style, see this link:[link])
Crap to know: *he's left-handed *he doesn't handle injuries very gracefully *because of the fact that humans didn't grow very tall back in the old days, the young Locust finds it quite a challange to enter and exit buildings *"Young Locust" is not a very honorable rank to be at his age
This n' that
Adrian always figured he would get into some kind of trouble, but not to this extent. Because of his luck, he was transfered to a Temple of some kind in a far off place. Unfortunatly, this temple existed in some kind of trippy time rift and now he's stuck in the feudal era of Asia. The reason for his initial transfer is unkown. He was just your average college boy, chillin' in Boulder, Colorado, until he got a notice about some kind of Asian grand tour; and that, my friends, is where it all went downhill. He discovered that this tour would land him into a temple that taught martial arts, and that students would live here to fully absorb the vast knowledge available to them. As a new student, he recieved the student uniform, (complete with "a doofy hat") he was to braid his hair in the traditional pupil hairstyle and, to his dismay, shave his beard.(apparently only masters can have facial hair) The beginning of his lessons were not too bad, they consisted of simple things such as stances and drills. As he progressed, however, his incompetence in fighting was showing through sumfin' fierce. His sparring matches often left him flat on his booty, and often by girls (mostly because the students and teachers agreed that it was funny to see such a big guy get creamed by a female a fraction of his size) While this craptasticity was amusing at first, the teachers soon found Adrian's lack of progress irritating and most disturbing. Finally, after one mistake too many, (involving destroying a priceless statue after landing on it when one of the higher ranking students, who happened to be a girl, booted him right into it) the teachers sent Adrian away with one goal before returning: stop sucking so hard.
Through sheer luck alone, (and plenty of flyers) Adrian found out about the famed Samurai Duelers Legue in the neighboring country of Japan (AN: so I assume) and hopped aboard a stinky fishermans boat to check it out. The trip cost him one gold piece he found on the floor five seconds before meeting the fisherman.
Ariving at the famed town square of the SDL, Adrian was quick to sign up. Fearful at first that they wouldn't admit him due to his bad fighting skills, he was soon relieved to find out that these people let anyone in . . . go figure.
So now our young Locust awaits his fate at the hands of hundreds of violent fighters . . .
Some people have been asking me about this stuff so I decided to gather all information in one single article on how to make your own portfolio, in a profesional and clean looking way. I hope it's useful, because these steps I myself take.
DeviantArt is full of extremely well produced artistic fashion and fine art photographs. Make up. Styling. Creation of scenery. Story. Light. Glamour. A combination of these expressions sometimes make up a great photograph. But the protagonists of these pictures are usually female.
So... now it's the time for male models to come into focus.

`karemelancholia is one of the most genuine deviants you could ever met. Always active and a true deviantART cheerleader and supporter in every aspect. You can always count on her to lend a hand or get involved, and you usually will find her doing large amounts of both at any given moment. She's consistently reports on contests around dA, showcases the efforts of her fellow artists and shows her charitable side through various activities. Besides all of this, she's a truly talented artist which is why she's an obvious choice for deviousness this month. Read More
